LaToya Bush is a seasoned finance executive with more than 18 years of progressive leadership experience in corporate finance, accounting, and banking. She currently serves as Controller and Corporate Vice President at Volkert, Inc., a multi-million-dollar engineering firm, where she leads enterprise-wide financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence initiatives. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to accuracy, accountability, and strategic growth.
Prior to joining Volkert, LaToya held multiple finance and accounting roles at Hancock Bank, where she contributed to financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational improvements. Throughout her career, she has built a solid foundation in technical accounting, process optimization, and team development, consistently strengthening the organizations she serves.
LaToya is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Mississippi and Alabama and holds an MBA from William Carey University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance), magna cum laude, from the University of South Alabama. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and remains actively engaged in financial strategy and governance initiatives.
Beyond her corporate leadership, LaToya is deeply committed to community service and civic engagement. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, where she supports initiatives focused on community empowerment, education, and social impact.
